Leaders of the Month

Each month, to show our recognition for students who demonstrate great leadership here at Wattsburg Area Elementary Center, we would like to recognize one boy and one girl from each grade level with the Leader of the Month award.

To be eligible to earn this great recognition students must demonstrate at least four (4) of the six (6) leaderships qualities here at WAEC. The six qualities:

1. LISTEN – attentive each and everyday
2. EMPATHY – kind to their classmates and helpful in the classroom
3. ATTITUDE – cooperative and demonstrates positive character traits
4. DEPENDABILITY – hard worker and stays on task. Always tries their very best.
5. EFFORT – puts forth their best effort and shows pride in their work
6. RESPECT – respectful, considerate, and makes good choices throughout the day

All students that earn this recognition will receive the following:

• Leader of the Month certificate
• Leader of the Month T-Shirt
• Name and photograph displayed in the main hallway at WAEC
